Renovit has obtained the B Corp certification reserved for companies that operate according to the highest standards of social and environmental performance, responsibility and transparency. In terms of number of employees and turnover, Renovit is the first Italian B Corp in the energy efficiency sector and one of the first five European companies in the same sector to be certified by the non-profit organisation B Lab.

A B Corp stands out in the market because it goes beyond the sole objective of profit, striving every day to maximise its positive impact on the environment, people and communities in which it operates.

“Renovit’s certification as a B Corp” said Cristian Acquistapace, CEO of Renovit, “rewards our commitment to promoting the redevelopment and energy efficiency of buildings and processes in companies, public administrations and private individuals, encouraging the ecological transition and decarbonisation of local areas to the benefit of those who live there. Sustainability is an integral part of Renovit's way of doing business. We are proud of this result, which also reflects the company's high standards of transparency in the areas of governance and relations with stakeholders, from employees and industrial partners to the local communities affected by our projects”.

The award reflects in particular the environmental value of Renovit’s activities, which make it possible to reduce the energy consumption of buildings and industrial plants, and consequently climate-changing emissions, while at the same time redeveloping city areas and production districts and improving the quality of life of local residents.

The certification also confirms the fairness and transparency of Renovit’s actions towards all its stakeholders, especially towards its employees. The company was awarded a particularly high score for the protection and promotion of the personal and professional wellbeing of its employees.

The certification process, which lasted around eight months, assessed various areas of impact (business model, ethics and transparency in governance, relations with customers and suppliers, commitment to diversity and inclusion and service to the community, impact on the environment), providing a complete picture of Renovit, which was found to comply with the strict B Lab criteria. Today, out of more than 200,000 companies that have been assessed globally, only 2% have met these requirements.
